Wanna Have Fun?? Mix Up Some Paint Colors!

Last week I came across a vanity stool and I absolutely loved the style of the stool and the fabric (which was in excellent condition).  But the wood of the stool really left a lot to be desired.  So, guess what I did?? I know … you’ll never guess … I decided to paint it!

The problem was that in my mind I made up a color that I wanted to paint the stool to match some of the green in the fabric and highlight the maroon.  Now, in my CeCe Caldwell’s paint pallet this color does not exist.  So, guess what I did??  I mixed paint!  Yes, you can mix CeCe Caldwell paint colors to make your own fantastic colors and have an endless choice of colors to work with.  This makes me very happy 🙂

Sooooo, how do I know what colors to mix to come up with the color that I want?  Well, to be honest, I don’t always know.  So, guess what I did??  I reached out to my sister CeCe Caldwell retailers and our wonderful CeCe community boards and I asked:  “How can I get a sort of medium olive color by mixing CeCe paint?”  And the wonderful Rhonda Dykes of Shabby but Chic (check her out … she does awesome stuff!) responded to me immediately and suggested that I mix equal parts of Cinco Bayou Moss and Spring Hill Green.  It was the perfect solution.  Check out my before & after photo below.
