Kensington Community Food Co-Op

Keys to the Attic is the proud supporter of all our local community associations and organizations. Today we would like to highlight the Kensington Community Food Co-Op (KCFC).  KCFC came together in 2008 with the mission to open a member-owned cooperative grocery store in the Kensington/Fishtown area to provide us with local fresh and organic foods at an affordable fair price.  We are so excited about this!

In support of their mission, they are running a scavenger hunt, April 5th thru 14th, called “Catch the Carrot”.  This is so fun!

10 Carrots are hidden in 10 Shop Local businesses over 10 Days. Starting April 5th, follow their clues on Facebook and Twitter. Every day more clues and another carrot up for grabs! Carrots are worth a $40 gift toward a full membership to the Co-Op. Rules can be found here.

So, keep up with the clues and shop (support) your local businesses … and Catch the Carrot!

Spring Candles Are In!

Some of the candles that we will be carrying for the Spring just came in!  They sell out quickly and I can give you a head’s up that we’ve already sold half of our Rhubarb.  We now have Rhubarb, Mulled Tangerine and Lemon Parsley.  Easter and Mother’s Day are right around the corner, so stop on by and get a head start on gifts.

We got in some great framed posters – perfect for anybody looking to spruce up an apartment.  Check them out and contact us if you would like pricing or have any questions: 267-324-3681 or [email protected].

Before & After ~ Green Cube Shelving

I came across this cube shelf over the weekend and it seemed like it would be functional (and it was super cheap). The only problem was that it was a little too minty green for my liking. So, I painted it. That’s all … simple enough.

Not Our Usual … But Interesting …

We got a couple of pieces in that are some sort of “outdoor art” or “metal art”.  Not along our usual line of stuff, but they are very interesting conversation pieces.  Does anybody know anything about them?  Please share.

The first is 4 people sitting at a table playing cards.  The second (the kinda creepy one) is of a doctor spanking an upside down baby (I hope).
